It’s 2019 and I noticed most of the core SEO tactics and strategies remain the same except the poor indexing rate of backlinks by Google. This is no longer year 2008 when doing SEO back then was a big joke. You can just simply slap a web 2.0 website, add your tags and ping the hell of that link using PingFarm etc. And walahhh, your site getting page 1 ranking in just 24 hours!
Building backlinks is still the most important SEO activity. The numbers and quality of backlinks remain relevant in the SEO world but equally important is the Backlinks Indexing Rate factor. There’s no point buying and building thousands of quality backlinks but not getting indexed by Google. Back then, you can easily getting more than 80% indexing rate but now with all the Google Panda Updates, you can’t even expect to get over 20% indexing rate (some even reported a 10% indexing rate, which is really a major cause for concern here).
So what’s my plan to get a solution to this problem?
There’s a few strategies in my mind. First, use a high DA domain or sites that are getting crawled by Google on daily basis and use them to build backlinks to “hard-to-index” backlinks. But the problem is you can’t find these high DA sites that allow you to insert those “hard-to-index” links in their platform. I’m a good example of this in which ACADEMIA.EDU suspended my account for suspicious activities even though most of my Word Docs contain nothing more than just external links.
- Alternative solution for High DA to Low DA backlink is using https https://medium.com/ (DA=95) , https://www.cocolog-nifty.com/ (DA=92)
Now I’m left with using 3rd party Link indexing companies . I have Lindexr.info back then in 2015 but since 4 years have passed, I suspect the efficiency is dropping at alarming rate and most of my built backlinks are not getting the love as they should be from Google. So I plan to run the following indexing test on the following websites using both LinIndexr and Speed Indexing.
- Run instant submission (No drip feed)
- Check indexing results after 24 hours, 48 hours, 72 hours, 5 days and 7 days.
- Check indexing results after 10 days, 12 days and 14 days. If links not indexed in 14 days, continue submit the same backlinks to run another “14 days” cycle indexing. So by Day 29 or Day 30, we can see how many actual backlinks were getting indexed after 2 rounds of submission.
- Calculate % Indexing (Accept even if 1st round indexing yielded the desired result. No need to wait for 2nd “14 Days Cycle”)
I will use top 10 “hard-to-index” websites to compare the indexing rate for both services using the above method.
- Tripadvisor (Tough to index but past year profiles easily indexed)
- Torgi Forum
- LexisNexis (higher potential to get indexed)
- Codechef.com (good reference to compare)
- forum.statcounter.com/…/about (must index in this /about format)
- divephotoguide.com
- spreaker.com & crunchyroll.com
- Nitro Wiki Soureforge.net (good reference to test)
- KDU Forum
